Hunter Jumper Lesson at Whitehedge Farm in Aubrey, Tx.
I had a great afternoon at Whitehedge Farm in Aubrey with trainer & instructor Anne Hedge. As soon as I arrived at the farm I felt immediately at ease with the calm & welcoming atmosphere of smiling faces and waging tails. (tails that obviously belonged to the friendly dogs not the humans)
I’ve always been a little nervy talking a first lesson at a new place but there was no need, within seconds Anne had made me feel relaxed and any nerves I had were gone.
Our lesson took place in the outdoor arena we’re we worked on the flat and went through the basic’s. Anne helped me with my body position and gave me a good visual of how the mare should be moving.
The mare I rode, named Glory was wonderful. For being so high off the ground I felt extremely safe as the mare had great manors and just the right amount of forwardness.
As an Instructor, Anne is a very knowledgeable with good patients and a calm tone. I felt very safe and really enjoyed my lesson. I would certainly not hesitate to go back again.
Anne offers lessons to both beginners and experienced riders, (she has the cutest little Welsh pony for the younger riders ) her other services include training showing and boarding.
